Royal Security was proud to once again support our long-term client, LISHA, for the Pongal festivities held at Poli Ground, marking our second consecutive year securing this major cultural celebration.
From the evening of 8 January through to the night of 15 January 2026, our team provided continuous event security coverage throughout the festive period. Approximately eight to ten experienced security officers were deployed across rotating day, night, and mid shifts, tailored to daily crowd intensity and programme schedules.
Adaptive Deployment for a Dynamic Festival
The Pongal festivities saw varying crowd levels across different days. On quieter days, a combination of day and night officers ensured steady coverage, while peak event days required three to four officers on mid shifts to manage higher footfall and programme activity.
Our officers were responsible for crowd control, access management, perimeter security, and on-ground coordination, ensuring smooth movement within the venue and surrounding areas. Their familiarity with the site and event flow, built over two years of deployment, allowed for confident and effective execution.
Heightened Oversight and On-Ground Leadership
To ensure the highest standards of execution, Royal Security’s management team was present on-site at key intervals, providing oversight and support during critical periods. A dedicated Security Team Lead supervised daily operations, coordinated shift transitions, and maintained close communication with organisers to address evolving on-ground needs.
This layered approach to supervision strengthened operational control and reinforced accountability throughout the deployment.
